The Scoop on Port Alberni is dedicated to celebrating the vibrant stories and voices of our community. We strive to connect residents with the news that matters most, fostering a sense of belonging and engagement. We aim to shine a light on the diverse experiences that shape our city, ensuring that every narrative is heard and valued.
Our Commitment
As a Community Contribution Company (CCC), we bridge the gap between for-profit and non-profit organizations. We allocate at least 60% of our profits toward social purposes, ensuring that our work benefits the community we serve.

Videographer
A long-time volunteer videographer capturing the essence of Port Alberni through his lens.
Ali Penko
Producer
Originally from Ontario, Ali is a versatile photographer who graduated from the Applied Photography program at Sheridan College. Ali continues to create and grow as an artist and is also a Red Seal Horticulturist.
Terry Deakin
Director
A dedicated social entrepreneur focused on the social and economic development of Port Alberni's most vulnerable populations.
